The Fabrangen Fiddlers The Fabrangen Fiddlers is the Washington. D.C. areas original Jewish folk band. Founded in 1971 by rabbi, singer, guitarist David Shneyer and fiddler, mandolinist Alan Oresky, the band has performed at hundreds of simchas and in concert throughout the US and Latin America. Other members of the group include Cantor Sue Roemer, Frank Sparber on clarinet, Theo Stone on bass and Larry Robinson on mandola and banjo. Members of the group have released several albums. The group performs traditional and original Jewish music reflecting a wide range of cultural and musical influences from klezmer and middle eastern to jazz and bluegrass. Appearing in this concert will be David, Sue, Frank, Theo, Larry with guest Matt Tonti.

Rak Shalom Acappella Rak Shalom Rak Shalom is a co-ed Jewish a cappella group at the University of Maryland. Founded in the Spring semester of 2005, Rak Shalom has gone on to become one of Maryland Hillel's big attractions Rak Shalom combines the three things we love doing most… singing, community service, and most of all, having fun. You can catch us performing around campus, at different schools in the Baltimore/Washington area, at nursing homes, hospitals, and homeless shelters. Shir Synergy Shir Synergy is a trio whose original music explores Jewish themes and holidays, and offers new interpretations to traditional text. Reflecting the combined talents of three local artists, Lisa Baydush (song-writer and music teacher), Audrey Katz (song-leader and music teacher), and Barry Astrow (computer programmer with a velvet voice), Shir Synergy is known for its sunshine-y spirit and exquisite harmonies. Klezentricity Klezcentricity, Wild and Authentic Modern Klezmer Music featuring David Julian Gray, Wendy Morrison and Richard Seidel. Klezcentricity, formed in 1999 by seminal klezmer revivalist David Jullian Gray, is emerging as one of the most exciting and creative klezmer ensembles working today. David began his career as a founding member of The Klezmorim, whose recordings and concerts in the 1970s and ‘80s ignited the international revival of klezmer, the dance band music of Eastern European Jewry. Joining with David are Wendy Morrison on accordion and Richard Seidel on string bass. Together they explore new direction within klezmer’s traditional structures and musical vocabulary. Kol NoVA and the Olam Tikvah Chorale The Generations Join In Song: Kol NoVa Youth Choir and Olam Tikvah Chorale. The Kol NoVa Youth Choir, founded in 2000, and the Olam Tikvah Chorale, founded in 2002, perform both separately and together at many community events throughout the Washington area. Both choirs are from Fairfax, Virginia and are directed by Carol Boyd Leon. Kol NoVa is open to all children in grades 2-7 who love to sing Jewish music. Machar's Jewish Cultural School Band Machar's Jewish Cultural School Band grew from the music sessions at our secular humanist Sunday school.
